I, Engr. Umukoro Akpo welcome you all on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, and the Dean of Engineering to the Department of Electrical Electronic Engineering, University of Delta, Agbor. We are really grateful that all of you choose this discipline as a course to be study in this Citadel of learning.
This discipline pervades every aspect of modern society and continues to be the cornerstone of rapid technological advances that improve the quality of life in this millennium. This discipline also strives to be at the forefront of the Engineering education to equip our students to be engineering leaders in industries, research and entrepreneurship.
HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT;
The Department of Electrical Electronic Engineering is one of the newly established Departments in the Faculty of Engineering. Moreover, the department came into existence when there was an upgrade by the Delta State government in the defunct College of Education. During the resource visit by the Nigeria University Commission; in the month of November, 2021, Electrical Electronic Engineering Department was among the department in the faculty of Engineering that was given an approval to run degree program and to award the Bachelor of Engineering in this discipline.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES
At undergraduate level, Electrical Electronic Engineering programme offer full time degree programme. The full time programme is Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Electronic Engineering). We have curriculum that enable students to design customize programs, comprising specific set of courses tailored to meet individual interest and career goal. This is in consonance with the realization of national needs and aspiration vis-à-vis industrial development and technological emancipation.
